    Bogus Violations

They are pulling off more people with trailers now, checking lights, tags and weight for the bigger trailers. Also if you are hauling brush, it has to be covered with some sort of tarp.

    A "best" way?

It depends on the product. Most work best by section, but a few if you let sit will come out better, so I would do the whole vehicle and then go back.

How often do you detail your car?

I usually do a wash and use a quick detail about once a month, although with everything going on, it has been a while. A good full detail about twice a year. Spring and fall.

    Scared for what could be

Got to stop listening to American News Companies, if they can call them that today. They just sell fear. Nuclear Energy Institute http://nei.cachefly.net/newsandevent...n-that-region/ <---There are LOTS of good resource links on that page. Reactor design, time lines, various industry sites...

Does your car stereo have an MP3 input wire? I know they make ones that work off of radio freq but I hear they get a lot of static and do not work well.

    Paint Job

Would depend on the car to be honest. Unless it is something of a classic, I would not get a custom paint.

city law demands full service pumps

New Jersey it is illegal to pump your own gas. Every gas station is full service. It is almost funny to watch them when they come down and try and figure out how to fill up or wait for someone to fill up for them.

    Headlights

A lot of the "blue" lights you are seeing are HID lights. If done properly, they work well without blinding other drivers. However, they sell conversion kits for the bulbs only for as little as $25-35. They really need a different housing, as the bulbs act differently then other bulbs. But...

Do they offer this where you live?

Yeah, and people do it right before a hike in fees. Last time they about doubled the fees and you had a good 5 hour wait to get through the DMV.

    Recommend a Wax

I visit a lot of detailing forums and websites. I have no favorite brand. ClearKote is good along with PoorBoy's. There are a few others. It seems like the companies change their formula's ever so often, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. So I do think there is one true best...

    How often...

I do my own, and do not pay. But twice a year I do a full detail, and usually another two or three times during the year I will do a quick detail.

    Do you haggle?

I've done that too, usually if I'm buying a large quantity of items. I walk into Lowes and say I want a pallet of something, what kind of price can you give me, and see if they will discount it. My dad has tried it when buying fridges and such.

    Leasing vs. Buying

My brother leases a car for his wife. She likes new cars, and has a long commute. So they lease hers. Not really saving money, but it makes them happy. I would not lease personally.

    Drag racing

I just read an article in NY about two kids racing, one hit a gas pump and just made it out before catching fire. The other hit a fence injuring the passenger. They will take your vehicle here if you are caught racing.
