AC only works on MAX?

My AC went out yesterday. I had it set on 2 and it stopped working, so I switched the knob to 4 (max) and it came back on, but that is the only setting it works on. Any suggestions?

My aunt had a similar problem with an old Cavalier. I took a ride with her and it was really annoying. I don't remember if she got it fixed, but it was really funny.

Sounds like an electrical problem, Chevy. Perhaps the switch itself is going bad? It doesn't sound like an air conditioning problem. Have you taken it to a shop?

Could be a blower motor resister gone bad.
