Bad Storms

Here in Alabama, we've had bad thunderstorms and some tornados most of the day today. As I watch the news, our governor has declared a state of emergency in our state. It seems like bad storms hit us about every 3 or 4 days now.

We've been very lucky lately. The weather hasn't been too hot or too cold. I like when the weather is pretty mild like this. It has been a bit chilly in the mornings but nothing major.

We got them late last night. I left the window open, and woke up around 2am. The wind was crazy and it was pouring, lightning and thundering. I think it's supposed to do that most of the day.

My brother is in North Carolina, and there were some power lines down in his area. There was even a tornado touching down like 30 minutes from where he lives. I am glad they were ok.

It seems that this past Winter and now Spring have been really active in the bad weather department. I wonder what the Summer will bring. I pray that we are all save. After the situation in Japan, I do wonder if we realize in the States how vulnerable we really are. Do you think that people are prepared for a major natural disaster?
