Brake pads uneven wearing

What would cause your brake pads to wear unevenly and so quickly? I swear I am having my pads changed a lot lately and every time they say they are uneven? Is there something seriously wrong with the car for them to be uneven? I don’t notice anything different when stopping the car.

There's a few reasons that could occur, one of them is that the vehicle needs an alignment and wheel-balancing.

I'm surprised the mechanic hasn't tried to source the problem or suggest a cause.

Do you have a lot of pot holes around where you are? There's a really good chance that if you are hitting them often, that the alignment is out as Dodge Doll suggested.
