My car gets reeeally hot when sitting in the sun, and the reflective visor for the windshield doesn't seem to do much. Is there anything else I can try? I don't leave anything electronic in the car because I worry it will burn up!
There isn't really much you can do. Can you park in the shade? That might help a little. What color is your car? That usually makes a difference, also, though you may not be able to change it now.
I've seen small fans that you can put in the window and leave it cracked a bit when you get out. I don't remember where I saw them but I think they were in a catalog of some kind my wife gets. That may work for you.
I understand the problem. My company's parking lot is very large, and there just isn't any shade. I do try to use one of the window shades that reflect off some of the heat. Really all that does is make sure the seats aren't burning hot when I get in.
I know it's probably not a good idea, but I do leave my windows open just a crack. I have had an incident once in a car, where came back and the windshield was cracked. I honestly think it was because the car got too hot.
