The rubber floor mats I bought last fall really took a beating this winter. Sure glad I invested in them. I tried to clean them today, and they don't look that good. Any tricks of the trade to clean them up, or should I invest in new ones?
Did you use hot water, soap, and a good stiff brush? If not, try that. If so, you will probably have to just invest in some new ones. At least it's the mats and not your carpet!
I replace mine yearly. I usually dish out for the heavy duty ones, because I know they can really take a beating. Dishing out cash yearly for GREAT floor mats is worth it, in comparison to replacing your carpet.
I have a hand held steam cleaner that I use on mine pretty regularly. They always come perfectly clean. I've also put them in the washer machine before (6 years ago), my mom freaked out but they came clean!
