How much do you rely on cruise control when you drive? It's odd because I used to use it a lot and I realized recently that I'd stopped. I really don't know why, either.
I used to use cruise control on long trips, but I've quit using it, too. I don't know why, except that I just don't think about it. It is nice to have if you want to use it.
Cruise control scares me. The few times I've tried to use it, I find myself getting way too close to someone then starting to panic because I'm not slowing down. I would rather know that when I am pushing the gas I'll go faster and when I stop pushing the gas I'll slow down.
BTW, when I first learned to drive, I thought cruise meant I didn't have to steer!
I frequently drive on long trips, so cruise control comes in very handy. Even the nearest grocery store is 15 miles away, and it's all interstate, so I'll set the cruise. But city streets and county roads, no, no cruise.
I have to admit that I don't use like I used to either. This isn't an age thing, is it? Part of my like of usage, though, is that I'm not on the freeway as much and when I am, I'm in too much traffic.
