Do you take "back roads"?

I sooo hate driving in traffic! Fortunately for me, I know a lot of back roads that may make for more miles to travel, but I can still get to where I need to be quicker by dodging the interstate traffic. I was wondering if anyone else chooses to do this....?
I heard on the news this morning that the best state for less traffice is South Carolina... Come to think of it, I have never really had to deal with any traffic whenever I drove through there. I may want to consider moving there. Hmmm, Myrtle Beach is nice...

I know a few backroads, and thankfully sometimes my GPS finds some for me and helps me avoid traffic. I'm not a fan of traffic, either, so having a GPS that can get me around it really saves me some frustration.

As a trucker, I stick mostly to the interstates at night, which really helps me keep rolling. Of course many of my deliveries and pick ups have to be done in congested city areas, so I try to time them for least congested times.

I tend to avoid it if I can. As far as I'm concerned less traffic= better safety odds. I hate to get into heavily congested areas and really stress out. So I avoid them if I can and if I can't, I just live with it.

I am a back roads queen. I always try to find the least travel road whenever I can. It makes for some wonderful adventures. It also helps me get places faster.

I take back roads near where I live. Long distance I take the bigger roads though.

I take back roads as often as I possibly can. Even if the speed limit is lower than on a main artery, I find that I can get from Point A to Point B faster because it's not stop and go.

Yeah, I do. I can't stand to sit in traffic so I search out the back roads every where I go. I've even found some down in Pigeon Forge Tennessee when I'm down there on vacations.
