I was watching The Price is Right and a woman won a new car. Has anyone here ever won a new car? Is winning a car free or would you have to pay all kinds of taxes on the car?
Does anyone really ever win the car? I sometimes wonder if there are actual winners in some of these things. But, supposing you do win the car, you will have to pay all of the taxes on it, so ask yourself if you can afford to win a "free" car.
I think people do actually win the vehicles, yes. They are then responsible for paying for title, tag, and taxes. I've heard of people who sold the car as soon as they could because they couldn't afford to keep it!
I've been entering daily into a contest recently, hoping to win a Cube. It states in the rules that the registration, taxes, title, etc. will have to be paid by the winners (there's more than one being given away), but I'm willing to take it.
I have never personally won a car either, but a lady I know did a few years back from a local casino. She ended up selling the car to pay the taxes. It kind of sucks.
