Hard to See

Have you ever had a situation where you didn't see a motorcycle while you were driving a car? I consider myself a pretty safe driver, but last week, I was pulling out of the grocery store and, before I knew it, there was a motorcycle, right there! I almost hit it because I simply didn't see it.

I'm a trucker, and the difference in size between a big semi and a motorcycle is significant. I have to depend on them seeing me, as I do not see them more often than I would like.

Motorcyclists can be extremely hard to see and they've got to be extra careful on the roads, but sometimes even they can't do much about it. As a driver, I'm always on the lookout for them and I always assume that there might be one just behind me or around the corner. I'm not paranoid about it or anything but I do practice defensive driving.
