Headlights

I'm beginning to really dislike those new fangled headlights on some of the imports, those annoying bluish ones that seem to pierce eyeballs when driving in the dark at night.

I wish the manufacturers would standardize headlights, for something that isn't so hard on the approaching traffic.

I agree, 66! Those are really annoying! I also hate it when the approaching lights are set at the wrong angle and right in my eyes!

I agree too! Those headlights are just blinding! Sure they look slick, but it isn't good for other drivers to have those headlights causing a vision problem. Not to mention it is super distracting to have those lights behind you for a period of time.

I am not too fond of them either, I mean I love blue but the bluish looks very odd at times and its kind of distracting. I wonder if they thought this would happen and just avoided mentioning it to the general public.

They strike me as being more useful as a fog light than as a head light.

I just know they irritate me at night more than just about anything else does.

I find them to be really distracting. I am finding it difficult to getting used to seeing them. I've never driven a car with them, so I don't know how they are to drive with.

I guess we are all in agreement. They are a pest. However, I think that the worse part is what DriveMeCrazy wrote, people just don't follow the rules. Why do they insist in blinding the rest of humanity? It is not only when they come from the front, but also the cars behind you. I sometimes feel like using my sun glasses when driving at night.

A lot of the "blue" lights you are seeing are HID lights. If done properly, they work well without blinding other drivers. However, they sell conversion kits for the bulbs only for as little as $25-35. They really need a different housing, as the bulbs act differently then other bulbs. But the housing, if available in the car model typically costs a few hundred. People of course do not want to spend the extra money, so they just install the kits without the housing unit. They can actually get a ticket from this, but that is extremely rare.

They should be ticketed far more often. It's not fair, and it's dangerous to other drivers on the road. They were illegal in a lot of places for a long time, but then LEDs became accepted-and I hate it.
