I have filled out more paperwork for the law suit I am involved in for the tiny fender bender I had than I ever have in my whole life. I got another packet of papers to fill out today. I will be so glad when it is over!
I can't blame you! I think it's crazy that you are involved in a lawsuit for a fenderbender. I hate paperwork too, but hopefully this will be your last packet to fill out. Good luck with the lawsuit!
Just pretend you're buying a house and the end result is you get something nice. I've never been in a lawsuit and after hearing what you have to do, I hope I never will! Good luck with it.
Paperwork is truly evil and I am about to deal with it myself for the house stuff that we need to get settled. A lawsuit is always a pain too, make sure you have a good lawyer.
Paperwork is always a pain, whether it is for a lawsuit or work. There is so much of it. It is sad that you even need a lawsuit for a tiny fender bender as you say this is.
What kind of paperwork? I don't remember filling out a lot of work when someone hit me and did a lot of damage to the front end of my car. Of course, paperwork was done - the police report, the insurance company's assessment, the repair shop.... But, it wasn't done by me.
Most times I have noticed when the accident is more than just a tap, the more paperwork comes along with it. When I was in a wreck in 03 we had a great deal (stacks and stacks) but at least the lawyers gave us a few days to recover first.
Alexus, it isn't just an accident, I am being sued by a passenger in the other vehicle for supposed injuries that they incurred. If it was just an accident I would not have to fill out anything, my claims agent would handle it.
Law suits do suck horribly. Hopefully, you will get lucky and it will be over with sooner rather than later. I think it is terrible that people can sue for something so minor but it is almost nearly impossible to sue for things like medical malpractice.
Skippy I wish it was going to be over quickly but it is going to a full trial so I am looking at sometime next year before I can put this thing behind me. I am sure there will be lots of paperwork between now and then unfortunately.
So have you heard anything yet on this whole mess? I am guessing you turned in all the paperwork finally so I am interested to hear if anything has come out of this? I would think not!
We have a court date of March 2012 since the judge deemed it worthy of moving forward and my insurance company refuses to settle. I am glad they don't want to settle but now I have to go through depositions and wait until next year to have it out of my life.
