More parking lot woes

I was at Walmart driving down the lane like I am supposed to be when an old guy starts backing out, not seeing me. I stopped and then another car came whipping around the corner (going the wrong direction) almost hitting him and me in the process. The guy backing out finally saw me at this point and seeing as he had almost been hit by 2 cars he pulled back in to let us pass. Then I realized the lady that had almost hit both of us was too busy talking on the phone to be paying attention to what was going on around her!

Oh I know. I just had an experience with someone on the phone. I pull up to a four way stop, I was there first, then she pulls up and I can already tell she is doing a roll through and not even looking because she is so busy on the phone. Anyway I was there first, I did my stop and started to go and she runs right out in front of me. I honked at her and hit my breaks. She gives a minor glance goes on talking and just pulls away. No apologies or anything. I am really starting to get annoyed with people and their cell phones. At least get a handless head set or something.

Parking lots can be dangerous places, for sure! I am ashamed to admit that one of my first-ever wrecks was when I backed into a (parked) car in a parking lot. :mmph:

Maximum, I did the same thing but I was 16! This lady was obviously not and should know better. I talk on my phone but I think I am the opposite of most people in that I become ultra aware of my surroundings when I am on the phone. I pay more attention to everything.
