Pets in cars

Do you let your pets in your car? I do and I'm wondering if maybe I should change that. My whole car smells like dog now and the seats are getting scratched etc. Ahh! I love my dogs so much, but I don't want my car to be ruined either, you know?

You could always put a blanket or something down so they don't mess up your seats, or you could put them in a kennel when they're in the car. I know it sounds mean, but they'll be fine

My two babies have gone to dog heaven now, but I always had a heavy flannel sheet that I put over the seats. They were only aloud in the back, never the front. I understand about the dog smell. Wet dogs can smell so bad, and as I used to take my dogs walking in the big park by the lake, they almost always came back to the car wet! It really depends on how much you love your pets!

I don't have so much of a problem since my seats are cloth, and my dog doesn't really scratch or chew at them since he's gotten out of his puppy stage. The shedding is a bit of a problem, though. Vacuuming and Febreze are my tools!

I have my dogs in my vehicles. The wife put them in the back of her Santa Fe, but I usually put them in the back seat.
