Pre-pay for scheduled maintenance?

Do you think you'd take the option to pre-pay for your scheduled maintenance when you buy your car? Our dealer showed us a breakdown of cost, and the plan was less than doing it piecemeal.

No, I don't think I'd prepay for a maintenance package. Reason being is that I can do pretty much all the maintenance items myself, and those I can't do, I can get done at a local garage for less than the dealership charges.

I'd consider prepaying for scheduled maintenance. I'd have to know the details of the package and the cost. It would be great to have it paid ahead and just take the car in and get it done.

It does sound attractive but I think some kind of insurance policy for the same service would be a better deal. What happens if you pay in and don't need to use it? Is it lost money?

I went with one. I rolled the amount right into the loan. I like it because I'm not tempted to put it off, because they send me reminders. All I have to do is get there, and it's done.
