Public transportation

Is public transportation available where you live? Would you like to see more public transportation alternatives available? Do you think it would be good for the environment?

I think that public transportation is good for the environment if the buses are using green technology and they are not releasing black smoke into the atmosphere.

I would doubt that I could use public transportation because it is rather unreliable in my town. If it weren't so, I would definitely use it.

I would love to see more high speed rail, especially along interstate routes between popular destination points. Do you know how many pollution-emitting autos that would get off the road?? Lots.

We have buses everywhere where I live and while they're nice, I feel like sometimes they don't run enough. It drives me crazy when I have to stand outside in the cold for so long waiting.

I actually used to drive for our nearest major city's public transit department. I'm retired now, but I'd still love to be able to take the bus into town every now and then. Unfortunately, I live about 25 miles away from this major city, and its buses aren't available to me. I would love to see a light rail system also.
