Who smokes?

Stop it first off, but secondly after I quit I started paying more attention to my health (that came back to me) and kept an eye on the news. This sprung up today and I gotta say, after losing a parent to lung cancer being disturbed by this does not even cover it. Does this article make you want to put the ciggy butt down?

I've never smoked. My parents smoked all the time so I had to breathe it in and smell like it everywhere I went. My mother finally quit after 40 years. It's funny how people get addicted to something that says "death" right on the package.

I've never smoked, either. I couldn't if I wanted to, as I am allergic to tobacco smoke. Nevertheless, if I did, this would certainly make me think twice about continuing!

I wonder how many lives could have been saved before they started? I heard a bout a few bad things but nothing major when I started, it was not until the last maybe four years when I smoked that the bad things started being aired out. Now its even worse.

I have never smoked, nor have I ever been tempted. I just do not like the thought of it. I stay away from smokers, as well; that is, when they are smoking.

I used to smoke but funny enough, it never got to the addiction point. Then all of a sudden, I quit and it has been two years and still counting.

If we paid more attention to matters health, the world would definitely be a better place.

I think health flew out the window years ago. We have parents feeding kids bad things, we have teens skipping meals and we have adults doing the same. It is such a shame, people complain about the dumbest things and overlook the most important.

That is very true plus it is unfortunate that we are not even taking time to sensitize our kids about health matters. What is happening is that people are being caught off guard and especially when their health has deteriorated.

We need to get back health through the same window it flew out from.

I have never smoked but in school I learned that cigarettes have arsenic and a million other toxic chemicals in them. That probably helped just a bit.

Yeah smoking is a nasty habit that I am glad I never took up. There are so many bad things beyond the nicotine and tar that people don't even think about.

I do agree that healthy went out the window year ago! There are so many obese kids and adults in my area. Smoking is bad - so is overeating - eating junk food - fast food - drinking too much, etc..

That's interesting, because I also used to be a casual smoker. I never found it to be very addicting, I'd smoke a few cigarettes a week at the most. Last year I probably smoked two or three of them over the course of the entire year. I've always known cigarettes were unhealthy, but after reading that article about radiation, I think I'll continue to stay away from them. I haven't had one in several months, and I really don't miss it very much.

I have never smoked and I am very grateful for that. Though, I have been an active passive smoker :)rolleyes:) for quite awhile as most of my friends smoke, and I am not so happy with that.
