My son

Thursday morning my wife blessed me and our families with a healthy 9 pound 4.4 oz baby boy. We named him James Edward, and he has a full head of hair, and also surprised us with a case of cleft lip and palate. We are actually heading out the door now to see a specialist for it. We did not get home from the hospital until 10pm last night. He is having some issues with feeding, so he lost a bit too much weight to go home at the normal time. And the wife is still recovering from the c-section, so it was a good thing to spend an extra day or two at the hospital. But those cots are uncomfortable.

I also tried stealing the spot light from the wife Friday morning, with my very first kidney stone, which I passed around 8 in the morning.

Here he is on the way home.

Congratulations!!!!! That is so exciting, and it sounds like you guys have had an adventurous week to say the least. I love his name, what a sweet baby.

Hope you and the wife are feeling better. Get some rest :)

That's awesome. Congrats. Is he your first child?

I have heard that a man passing a kidney stone is equivalent in pain to a woman laboring. I'm happy to say I've never experienced either. How are you all feeling?

Congratulations-he's a beautiful little fella. With the plate that they fit to the palate, they have much better feeding-he'll be fine in no time. Enjoy him whilst he's still small enough to not run away!

My first biological. I just got done adopting my wife's daughter earlier this month. But she has been living with me since 6 months, and is in every way else, my daughter.

We are tired. We have to feed every three hours right now. The wife cannot move well nor pick things up because of the c-section. So I get to wake up every three hours. along with running a business and trying to fix our house up. I've never wanted a massage and to sit in a sauna so bad.

We had our first doctors appointment yesterday with a specialist. They gave us a new nipple to try on the bottle as he cannot be breast feed. They weighed him today and he is up to 8 pounds 12 ounces. He was down to 8 pounds 2 ounces, or a 12% weight loss. He needs to be 10 pounds before the surgery for the lip. They may also fix his tongue tied problem too when they do the lip.

God bless your family! He is a big boy that will bring tons of joy and adventure to your days. I will keep you in my prayers so all of you continue in good health. If nothing else, his memorable birth will make for some fantastic family stories that will grace every family reunion for years to come.

Congratulations! He's beautiful!! Tell your wife that my friend who had a c-section says to always stand all the way up before walking... it will help.
