We had ice!

We had ice on the road the other day and it was completely unexpected. I just wanted to take the time to remind everyone that it is that time of year so. be careful and observant.

I am buying chains for my car just in case, but I have four wheel drive on one of my cars, so that will be a good thing. The ice freaks me out.

Ice is the worst. I'm always worried someone's going to smack into my car.

We aren't allowed to use chains in my state. I have 4 wheel drive too but it doesn't help on the ice. I am hoping it is minimal this year.

Yeah, I know. We haven't had to get out early enough for ours to matter but we have had several nights of rain and I'm sure the next morning there was either ice or black ice. I've learned to be very cautious.

No pun intended, but the thought of ice sends a shiver down my spine. I hit "black ice" once and did a 180 then skidded into a ditch. The newer vehicles are all going to have to be equipped with new anti-skid technology----it's good stuff.

What would be the reasoning for not allowing chains, and how do you know if your state allows them or not? Sorry, I'm from the south, and we really don't even think about these things....

We had ice the other day. I was ready to give in to winter but now it is really nice out. I would almost say it is warm in a fall kind of way. I am loving the weather and it holds out.

We have not had any ice, it is still a bit early for me to be thinking about winter time. I am getting my car ready for the winter time, I just do not want to think about it.
