I have only driven through a tunnel once in my life. It scared the daylights out me. All those lights and cars, I could hardly see anything else. After I got through that tunnel I pulled over shaking like a leaf and told my husband he could drive. I will never do that again.

I think it all depends on how good of a driver the elder person is. My mom is 74 and is a great driver. I hope those two people you mentioned are ok. I also think that there should be stricter laws about renewing drivers licenses for people over 65.

I am not superstitious at all. Friday the 13th never bothers me. I always say it`s a good luck day. I think it`s so funny how people will find everything that goes wrong on that particular day and blame it on bad luck day.

I love having my car detailed professionally when I can afford it. I have done it myself but they do a much better job than me. It`s worth it if you can afford it.

It sounds like the A\C unit is getting ready to burn out. If you have never had it serviced after all these years you may need a new one. It could be costly too. Anything to do with A/C in a car can be expensive. In my state, Florida, they have strict rules for mechanics working on them.

I don`t mind having one or two bumper stickers. I do agree that covering your car looks tacky. Like calvin I love to read them while I`m in traffic. I have read some pretty funny ones. Then again I have seen some that are just outright rude.

Personally I would rather have a tape deck. I have had no luck keeping CD players working in a car or in my house. I clean them and they still poop out to quick. I hope you can fix yours or find a good one to replace it.

I have used both men and women mechanics. I also used to work in an auto parts store that had a woman manager. Some women know more than a lot of the men. As long as they are good I don`t care which gender they are.
