I tried one and I did not notice the difference in gas mileage. I don't really know what the additives are supposed to do. I do use dry gas each winter though. That is supposed to keep the moisture out of the gas.

I think he was thinking about the accident he was in as a teen. He wasn't so lucky, they called the police. He was trying to give the kid a break. He said the kid was telling him that he heads to boot camp in a month.

I don't think it's odd at all. I know a lot of people who only drive their cars in certain seasons. Here in the north east it gets pretty snowy. If you have a nice car you might want to put it in the garage for the winter.
