    TVs in the car

I think it's a great idea especially if there are kids in the car and it's a long rode trip. Kids really are lucky because of technology. It makes it easier for long rides compared to when I was a kid.

    Car color and speeding tickets

Has anyone found any correlation between a car's color and speeding tickets? I've heard that red cars are prone to that but is it really true?

    Jiffy Lube

They are supposed to try and upsell you. Jiffy Lube is a retail outfit and that's how they make money. No different than going to McDonalds and being asked if you want fries and a soda with that Big Mac. By the way, I don't use Jiffy Lube because I change the oil myself.

    What causes excessive oil consumption?

If it's the rings, that'll cost me more than the car is worth. :ezpi_sad: Guess I'll have to really think about what to do next.

    yearly checkup

Mileage is a factor but you have to consider the type of mileage. If you drive 15,000 miles a year and it's mostly freeway miles that's totally different than if it was primarily city miles. Driving in the city, with all of the starts and stops wears on a car much more than freeway driving.

    Motor Oil

The best oil to use is what is recommended in your car's owners manual. I figure the company that built your car would know best what type of oil works best in their engine.

    Sea Foam

I love using Seafoam on my car every couple of years. I run it through the oil and in the gas tank to really cleans things out. I also run it through the intake manifold to clean out carbon build up.

    yearly checkup

I find that to be a bit extreme and suspect that the person you heard it from is just trying to make a buck. Believe it or not, today's cars have fewer problems than they used to because of computerization. So that can't be the issue. As for the oil, oil manufacturers say their oil is...

    Save on Gas

Ideally, I'd drive a car with manual transmission because you can control the revs of the engine. By doing that, you can save more gasoline as you drive. The higher the revs, the more gas used and vice versa. If it's allowed where you drive, you can also pop the clutch and cost to stops...

    Old Motorcycles

How old is your motorcycle? I have a 1982 Honda CX500 Custom. Still in great condition and low miles. I get around 50 miles to the gallon in the city so it's my commuter bike.
