I keep hearing different things on this but how often do you change your oil? Some say every 3,000 miles and some say 6,000 miles? It's a bit confusing.
I always used to hear you need to change it every 3000 miles but now I hear 6000-7000 instead. Perhaps newer cars can handle longer intervals between oil changes.
The place where I get my oil changed always says 3,000 but I always go over about 2,000 miles and it doesn't hurt a bit. I think it's just as long as you do it regularly, 3 or 6 would be fine.
Well I see that a lot of others have heard the same thing. I guess I will just stick to having it done on a regular bases and try not to go over 6,000.
