Are you lured by "incentives"?

There are a lot of good offers when it comes to car-buying. Are there any that could convince you to choose a certain vehicle over one you really wanted? I try not to be too convinced by any of them, and I still look over everything else, performance-wise, before I make my final decision. Of course, I still ultimately have to leave the final decision up to my wallet, but I try to get the best I can within my price-range.

I have actually never purchased a brand new car - and the longer I go without, the less I want to. Newer cars are made to crumple and be totaled in an accident, and I prefer something built to last!

I am lured, but only to look. So far I haven't actually made a purchase of a care simply because of the incentives. To me they are a good advertising stunt, but you usually have to pay the bank to get some features which other makers might consider standard.

I have vowed never to buy a new car again. At the moment I have that in my mind. I'm not going to say I'll never change my mind. But, I am never convinced to buy a vehicle because of the incentives.

The last car I bought was used and the only incentive they were offering was 2.9% financing. You better believe I went after that. Other than that I can't see any incentive getting to buy a new car.

Does the vehicle do what I want it to do is number one. Price is a factor, but if I'm not going to be happy with it, it is not worth the deal to me.

People are definitely lured by incentives. But it's not just new cars that have incentives attached. There are lots of good financing incentives for used cars too.

I have never let any salesman change my mind. I remember the first time I read the sales traps from Edmund's.com. When I went to the dealer, I wanted to laugh because the sales person used several of the techniques explained in the website. I stood my ground and got a great deal. You should do your homework before hand, and know how much you are willing to pay. Don't let them convince you that you can't get it for that price, because you certainly can.

Absolutely Alexus. The more money I can save on a new car, the better it is for me. Of course first, I'm going to choose something that's reliable, but if I can save a thousand or two, then I'm all for it.
