We bought a nice truck used just recently. It came with a back-up sensor. That thing has REALLY helped to prevent bumping into things while in reverse. I didn't know this feature was an option before this, did you?
I haven't had one of those, but I have had the type that beeps to let others know the vehicle is backing up, and that was nice, but it didn't let me *see* any better.
I had a friend that had it on her truck, but it didn't really help her any. She still ended up running over the trash cans at the end of her driveway and hitting my car door once too when I was parked next to her.
