Bike Lanes

Are there bike lanes in your town? Would you consider riding a bike to work or do errands?

In my case it wouldn't work because the kids school is quite far, and it is dangerous to ride a bike. There are no bike lanes in my town at all.

A few years back, I visited friend in the Netherlands, and I was amazed at how much people of all ages depended on bikes as their primary form of transportation.

There are bike lanes all over my whole city. What drives me crazy is some "bikers" still don't use them!

I couldn't ride a bike for my main transportation because it would take hours, and be kind of hard in my business suits/skirts :heh:

I used to take my bike to work. It was a great workout and so much cheaper! Unfortunately we didn't have bike lanes, I may even start taking it again if I had the option of using a bike lane, much safer.

We don't have bike lanes, but there are signs by the road reminding drivers to "Share the Road." I'm not sure why they didn't put in bike lanes, if they're expecting bikes.
