Fargo had a car show to raise awareness about childhood cancer. I'm not sure how cancer and cars are linked, but I think it's neat that they are doing something, even if it's unrelated.
Wow, great idea! Who cares how they are linked... as long as they make more for the cause that is what counts. I hope they do good and sell a lot of cars.
The only link that matters is that the promoters want to raise money for a great cause. I love when they have things that get people involved in worthwhile activities.
I've never heard of an event like that with cars. They could make a lot more money if they sold the cars and donated it to finding a cure for cancer. That's just my two cents, but cancer is a touchy subject for me.
I think it's wonderful! I hope they are (were?) very successful and able to give a large donation at the end of the show. It's good that people get involved!
A lot of different things become raisers of awareness these days, and there's nothing wrong with that. It helps when there is a goal they shoot for, so they will accomplish something useful.
I don't think the drug companies or doctors want a cure for cancer anyways. They'd lose billions on treatments so it wouldn't make sense. Sadly, there could already be a cure, even a natural cure, but that doesn't pay as well. hwell:
