Crown Vic to be retired

The police and cabbies are up in arms in New York because the Crown Victoria is soon to be retired. They're not sure what they're replacing it with. Cabbies say it has to be a smooth riding, town car to take the potholes and traffic conditions in New York.

I'd be up in arms too. Those cars' bodies are like tanks. Police cars are built with different specifications then cars built for "civilians", so whatever they're going to be replaced with, they'll be just as sturdy.

I've been to New York and have ridden in one of those taxis, you need a tank to drive on those roads and handle the side swipes. Driving in that place is like a demolition derby run. Can't imagine what they're going to replace the Vic with.

Wow that's going to be hard to replace. My sister had a crown vic and it's truly a touring car. No bumps, almost no outside noise and it could cruise forever. Easy to speed in because you can't feel how fast you're going. To bad.
