Fly windows

I had reason to muse about fly windows, and how I actually miss them in my truck: I'd like to see them come back, in truth. There was a reason for them, and I still reach for one when the windows on the truck begin to fog up!

Dude, you just dated yourself, and for serious: fly windows haven't been around for decades!!!

But ya, I agree, they did have a place, and I wouldn't mind seeing some models sporting them.

Ok I have to show my age now, and ask; what are fly windows? I've never heard of them, and I'm not sure that I've ever seen them either.

We used to call them "wing windows" when I was growing up. I liked having them in the back seat of the car we had whose back windows didn't open - so I had a way to get air. They're triangle-shaped windows at the front of front door windows and the back of back door windows (when present).

My brother has a Ford F150 and what I think is kind of cool about it is there are defroster vents built right into the door panel that only blow directly onto the glass. I think these are supposed to be the modern day version of those fly windows.
