Frequent tire and brake repairs

My son in law drives my daughter's van and during the course of a year has had to replace the drivers side front tire 6 times and the break pads 4 times. Just recently he had to replace the bearings, which were fused. He's not the best driver, but I'm thinking there must be something mechanically wrong.

Ah, well he could be but I have seen that one time before. It was with someone who was racing and hot rodding. I know you may think it is a van but with that many repairs I bet there is a lot of skidding tire from fast speeds going on. Either that or he has the wrong sized rim.

A vehicle isn't going to need that much work on it of that type with normal wear and tear. If I were you, I'd tell my daughter to cut him off from all use of that van before he tears it up more.

It has to be mechanical, I would think. I have sons who think their hiding the fact that they drag with my jeep and I don't have repairs like that.
