Funny the way it is

Anyone else ever see those people with a $1,000 car with $2,000 wheels on it?

Or how about this one, I work at a store so I am always talking to tons of people. The other day this guy comes in and he is talking up his car for about five minutes. I get a chance to peak outside and what do you know. It is an early 90's model car with tons of extras. He claimed to have spent over $20,000 in modifications (I didn't believe him). I was just thinking, why not spend the $20,000 on a car that is awesome stock (lexus, bmw, mercedes, etc...) It just doesn't make sense to me to have a car that is worth maybe $5,000 and decide it is a good idea to invest $20,000 into. Forgive me if you don't agree, but ugh! Some people.

I agree, Ron. You often see some of the oldest, dullest cars jacked up about two feet with 30 inch rims on it. I think that's the ugliest thing I've ever seen. Most times, the rims cost more than the car cost. I just have to laugh when I see something like that.

I can't imagine adding cosmetic stuff like that. If it improved performance, it might be worth it despite the actual appearance of the vehicle, though.

A lot of people have no common sense. I have never been one to put stock on how beautiful is the car in the outside as long as it runs smoothly and is reliable.
