Gas prices in Canada

I just got an email from a friend of mine up the Vancouver way in Canada, and she included a picture with it: the sign at a gas station.

Are ya ready for this?

$1.41.2 per liter, or $ 5.64 per U.S. gallon.

Excuse me, I think I need to find my bicycle helmet. :shocked:

I have read that some places expect to see the same. A friend of mine outside of Phoenix AZ said that he went and spent $96.37 for 24.3 gals (almost 4 per gal). I am sure he just about had a heart attack too.

Using that math, it would cost over $100.00 to fill my van.

Like I said, I think I need to find my bicycle helmet. As it is, I'm already "combining" errands and such to try and cut down on the amount of driving that I do.

I know; it's crazy. Our government in the USA is talking about getting OUR prices up to $5 - and I wouldn't be surprised if they succeed, although it will be annoying.

Gas prices in Canada have increased almost 50% in the last 3 years.... and that's bulls**t.
