Getting old

I don't think there is any other reason that I can think of other than getting old. I thought Diet Coke was making me forgetful and making my bones ache. Well I stopped drinking it about 2 weeks ago and nothing has changed. I've been whining that I wanted snow and cold weather so we could go out and play. Well it's here now and I'm whining it's too cold. It must be old age! I'm 39!

Just wait a few years, HotRod

If you feel old at 39, just wait a bit. Look, guy, every day is a gift, so get out there and enjoy the gift of the day. If it's snow, then ski. If it's raining, then stomp in a few mud puddles. If you're as old as I am, and if it's raining and cold like today, curl up by the fire with a cup of tea and a good book. May great gifts come your way.

Thanks retread! I'm a girl by the way.... I was just feeling sorry for myself. I'm not today! I'm pushing my body to do more then it should I think. I went tubing today with the kids, it was great fun!

I think we're all capable of the occasional slump regardless of age. I agree with Retread that we need to live everyday to the fullest, but don't beat yourself up over the odd rut here and there.

You are only as old as you feel so change the way you feel and you will not be feeling old. I have days like that too, when it takes my car long enough to warm up that I go back in the house for a 2nd cup of coffee well thats just the way the ball bounces.
