Hard to Crank

My old '97 Impala is starting to be difficult to start on these cold winter mornings. Could this be the battery draining in this cold weather or do I need to look elsewhere? I keep up the maintenance on the car quite well except for changing out the battery periodically. Any suggestions?

It could be a sign of almost anything. Winter is hard on a car. The cold does make a difference. I think at one time we discussed why cars tend to lose a head light bulb when it gets colder. Everything that was on the margin to tearing up, will when the cold starts getting consistent.

I would take it to the auto store and have them do a diagnostic. It could be the battery or a cable and you would want to have that issue taken care of before winter happens.
