High winds

I had to run a few errands this morning and the winds are atrocious. We have a high wind advisory for the day. You know it is pretty bad when the stop lights are almost sideways!

I know what you mean! The winds are pretty bad this morning for us too. Where do you live at? I'm in South Florida. Sometimes the winds will get strong enough to bring down trees!

It can be challenging. Of course, it can be worse. I remember a section of freeway we used to travel to go to my grandparents' home, and when it was windy, you were turning the wheel left to go right and such. It was dangerous and insanity.

I hear you! The high winds knocked out or cable and internet today. We were out from 9am to 7:15pm. The winds were so bad yesterday I thought it was going to knock some trees over.

We had a few of those too over the weekend. One day we came outside and all of the lawn furniture was all over the yard. The next day those were all safe but it flipped over our entire BBQ station/shed and that darn thing is heavy!

Lambo, I am in Central Michigan. The weather was indeed strange over the weekend. Saturday we had those devastating winds and heavy snowfall and then Sunday it was warm and sunny.

Today was super windy here again as well. The wires were moving all over the place, but fortunately, we did not lose cable or power. I must admit I intentionally stayed home today. No need to be driving in winds like this.

Hey Naptime. I grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I don't remember the winds ever being like I've encounterd down here during the rainy season. I haven't been back home in many years though. I guess I can kind of recall some winds because in the winter up there I do know the sound of the howling wind when it is freezing outside.

Grand Rapids is a few hours west of where I am. Different areas of the state are in different weather belts. We have had high winds quite often where I live, although this is one of the most mild winters I can ever remember.
