How Important is Appearance

How would you rate the importance of your car being visually appealing on a scale from one to ten?

I would rate mine a five. I could care less what anyone thinks of my vehicle as long as it gets me where I am going reliably.

I think I'm probably a 7. It gets dirty and I'm okay with that for a few days, but I will wash it and get it back to looking good the first chance I get. I'm also really careful to keep the inside clean and free of trash or clutter.

I would say maybe a 4. I want it to be clean, but if it's not I'm okay with that too. My car is never really that bad, so I might bump that number up if it was constantly dirty.

I'd probably rate mine a 7 or an 8. I just can't stand driving a dirty car or letting the interior of the car get dirty. To me, that's a reflection on the driver. When I see a dirty car (that looks like it hasn't been washed in months), the first thing I think about is, "Wow, he must really be a slob."
