I am amazed at the sophistication of some of the optional sound systems in the new models. On a scale from one to ten, how important to you is the sound system in your vehicle?
I love having my music to ride to, but I can't afford to spend the money that some people do - I've seen sound systems worth wayyyyy more than the car! As long as I can blast my music fairly loud enough, I'm good.
I buy a good after market system. Nothing that would impress a car show or anything, but better then stock. I like it because it cost less then a factory system, and I get a reverse camera, dvd system for the kids, and blue tooth for my phone.
I'm with you, jason. I really love having good sound systems, but getting one from the factory is a joke to me. I'd much rather assemble one myself and save money...getting a bit customized with it too, as well.
I never go with the factory options for sound systems. I travel lots, and spend lots of time in my car, and I also like music. I prefer to customize my sound system on my own.
I would rate it as a definite ten out of ten in importance but I am easily pleased and have a standard sound system installed. I prefer to spend spare money on other car related things.
A sound system is definitely a "must" for me. Of course, I'm glad each new car has one. I had an old car before and that was where I really spent some money on the sound system. The standard sound system is enough for me. A few people want to convert their cars into mobile speakers that can awaken an entire city. That indeed is way beyond bounds.
