Insurance Deductibles

I am about to renew my insurance policy and I was wondering if I should change the deductibles. I haven't had any problems in the last two years and I had a very little deductible which means I was paying a higher premium. Should I make change it to a larger deductible so my premium goes down?

I always go with the highest deductible I can. It's a bit of a gamble, of course, but the odd are in your favor if you're a defensive driver and obey traffic regs.

See, when I worked it out it just wasn't worth the higher deductible. The fees were only a small amount higher to completely do away with my deductible, so I figure why not.

I've always went with a lower deductible and slightly higher premiums. My thinking is that it's easier for me to pay $10 more per month than have to come up with $500 or $1000 at one time, should I have an accident.

I agree with Adam. I don't usually have access to large amounts of money if something was to happen. I can pay a little extra every month though. I wouldn't be going with the highest deductible, but not the lowest either.

I have a large deductible because I was looking for my monthly payment to go down. It works for me. If something was to happen where I needed to come up with my deductible not sure what I'd do there. Hopefully it doesn't come to that. ;)
