Internet

I lost my internet connection yesterday morning, and I've been without until about thirty minutes ago. Isn't it funny how much we've come to depend on our computers and internet service? I honestly don't know what I'd do if I were without internet for an extended period of time.

I know I would go crazy. Even my TV is connected to the internet because I am using NetFlix and HULU Plus. I am so used to it now that I wouldn't know what to do without it. I think I am not the only one there.

Last month, I had a big problem with my cable company. I ended up without internet for two weeks. At the beginning, I was going crazy. However, at the end I was happy not to have it. It seemed that I had a lot more time for everything else I have always wanted to do but never had time. Now I know I don't have time because of the internet.

I wouldn't say that I cannot live without the internet, but the internet makes life much easier and more fun. I think many people depends on the internet to make a living though.

I used the internet more than I ever have this past winter while I was hunkered down in the north country and buried in snow. It definitely helped me stay "connected" to the world.

The internet has really become indispensable in modern life. Sometimes I wonder what would happen if there was a really major, widespread outage of the net.

I know (not personally) many people who make a living or just make extra income working online. That would be a disaster if the internet became unavailable. I hope it would never happen.

I freak out when my net is down for more than ten minutes and I am not really sure how I would last an entire day. Too much of my life depends on having my net available when I need it, not at random times.
