Is your child in a booster?

My child is large and old enough to not be in a booster (legally by our state)-yet she still rides in a booster. I know that it's the safest place for her, and the place most likely to let her survive.

There's a law where I live, boosters til age 9 or a height of 4'9", whichever comes first.

When the kid is 8, 70 lbs, and 4'7".... it's a tight fit!

My niece and nephew still ride in boosters. They're 6 and 7. I like that they still have that extra protection. I'd rather they be a tad uncomfortable and safe opposed to the alternative.

Our daughter uses a booster and she is three. Only a few times have I let her ride in the vehicle without being in a booster. And that was taking a single street through the neighborhood for maybe two minutes, about 15 houses away. Usually it is because she got sick in the seat and it wasn't clean.

I have two in car seats - one is in a booster and the other is in a 5-point harness. I'm sure my younger one would LOVE to be in a booster, but she just isn't big enough yet to switch.
