Labor Prices

We just got a few estimates for just checkups with our local dealer and the labor prices were insane then the place tried to triple mark the new item we wanted to get installed (a stereo). When did labor prices hike up this much, triple, really?!

Ha! Of course the labor prices were insane, you went to the dealership. The labor prices at a dealership have always been triple the amount. I guess you had to learn the hard way, but from now on, never go to the dealership (unless you want to get robbed).

I try to avoid having work done at a dealership. Whenever possible I will try to find out the parts I need and try to locate them at the junkyard and go to a locally owned garage.

If it helps any I went to non-dealerships before and I attempted to call almost a dozen either they did not have access to what I needed or they were booked up for months. It was not my first intention to pay more, trust me.
