How often do you get a new car? Do you drive yours until it dies or do you buy a new one every so many years? I'm more of the driver until it can't drive anymore type of person. I wish I could buy a new one every year though!
Well I have had 6 cars in 16 years. The shortest two where my first two. The first mustang I had was the shortest of all, only a few months before my mechanic said to sell it.
I actually never bother with new cars. I always buy second hand cars as it can save you a fortune when you are buying them and when you sell them off you don't loose a lot of money either. A win-win situation.
Well I really do not like going through car after car, but combined in the past 20 or so years we have had (me 4 and other about 6 or so). I guess that's not too many right?
I'm still paying my car on installment basis so it's not easy for me to change anytime I want. I have enough budget, I'll surely buy the latest model. Luckily, my car still working well. I have not encountered major problem yet. Knock on the wood!
Since my Blazer is officially paid off and I am enjoying not having a car payment right now, I see myself driving it until it dies. I might buy something smaller in a few years, but it most likely wouldn't be anything brand new.
LOL Not so often. Currently I am using the first car I ever bought with my own money. It's still working now and I think I will drive it till it's worn out.
I believe that a car is still good as long as it is still serviceable. I had to let go of my trusty honda because it was already giving me headaches. I now have a minivan which I predict will last me 4 more years. LOL
My answer to this question is that it really depends on how you use your current car. I have seen cars that are 10 years old but they are in better condition than those 2 years old with another person.
