Removing Tint

There are serious tint laws where I live and I now have to remove the tint on the new car that I bought. I started, but already see that the glue that held the tint on is leaving a nasty residue on the window. Any ideas before I continue on how I can remove this stuff?

You could try asking your local tint place if they have anything to help. I had to do it once, and I tried to keep the back wet once I started to peel the tint, and then used a razor blade to scrape off any left over residue. Then I used a rag to go over it again.

Either Goo Gone, WD40 or Avon Skin So Soft Bath Oil have been mentioned. There are a lot of things that should take it off but if you can afford to do so, don't do it yourself. Take it to the tint place and get them to remove it. They are experienced and would be glad to have the business. Especially if you decide to tint it to a lighter tint.

Thanks guys! I have a couple of friends who have had to do it already to their own vehicles, and their windows look fine, so I'm going to trust them to help me. (They also said they used WD40 :) )
