Renting a Motorcycle

A friend of mine wanted to come and visit me while he was in town. He is a biker, but he was flown here by his job. He asked me if there was a place to rent a motorcycle nearby. I told him that I didn't think so. I guess that is because I've never tried to rent a motorcycle. Come to find out, there is a place right down the street from me that rents them! It is actually within walking distance. Funny how you don't notice a thing like that when you are not looking for it. Just curious - has anyone here ever rented a motorcycle?

Not personally, but when we had friends visit, they wanted to ride. So we called our local Harley dealer and he was able to hook them up with a ride. They just had to provide proof that they had a bike license and proof of insurance.

Wow, I never thought about renting a bike. I knew it was possible to rent a car. I suppose it makes sense that bikes can be rented also, although it seems like the liability for the rental agency would be a bit higher.
