When I drive my Toyota Tacoma truck at a constant speed, there is a strange "rubbing" sound that's intermittent, so that I'm driving and hearing "rub" "rub" "rub" "rub." Any ideas on what it could be?
Something with a wheel or tire perhaps? Or maybe one of the belts is getting ready to break. It's happened to me before and it's not funny. But I would check it anyway. I also have to wonder if you have a gravel between the brake pad and the rotor?
It could be your tyres wearing unevenly, so they might make a rubbing noise when on certain surfaces. Is it completely random or does it occur when it's raining, hot, cold or on rough roads??
