The streets in your town.

Are the streets in your town safe enough? I mean, suppose you got a flat tire at late night, would you feel save to get out of your car and change the tire yourself?

They do a pretty decent job of keeping the highways up to par but some places are still in need of some serious repair. When you get out in the boonies like where I live the roads are not taken too well by those city/gov workers. In the winter its a farmer with a snowplough on his truck instead to get rid of the snow.

There are parts of my town in which I wouldn't even like to step out of my car during the day. There was a report in the news that says that if you are driving late at night you should call for help and not accept help from strangers.

The way things are in the world I don't feel comfortable driving at night period. It doesn't really matter where it is. I try to take good care of my car so it doesn't die on me when I am driving especially after dark.

I guess it would depend in what part of town I was in. Typically I don't drive in bad parts of town. Although I would be more worried about someone hitting me as I was changing the tire because we have a lot of bad stupid drivers. Since I am a woman, I would not change a tire at night without a man around just in case a creep tried something weird, or if I really needed help just doing the job.

I would call someone to help me if I was alone at night with a flat tire.
