Warning for people who drive wheel chair vans

My sister drives a wheel chair van. It is the kind that has a lift and everything. I just want to warn anyone who drives this to get your brakes fixed ASAP if they need fixing. My sister had to make $3k because her breaks wearing down caused a chain reaction of problems that do not occur with lighter vehicles.

That would probably be an issue with any heavy vehicles, even without the wheelchair part, right? I have a 15-passenger van, and it would probably be the same way.

Most vans which are either converted or specialized (from the factory) will come with a bracing set. My buddy in AZ had to have this done to his van and while it cost a little more it evened the van out to avoid overuse of the brakes.

I am not sure about a 15 passenger van. Due to the way the lift affects the build of her van it is about as big as a 15 passenger van, but heavier. I will find out how much it weighs and let you know. She did find out that there are government agencies and charities in some states who will help disabled people get car repairs.
