Wasps in door frame

Has anyone else had problems this year with wasps building a nest in the door frame of your car? Both our car and truck have had wasps move in this year and try to build nests. We drive them almost everyday, so I don't know why they would pick that spot.

We haven't had that problem this year, although it has been an issue in the past. We've had an issue with excessive nests on our house. We had two nests on one of our bedroom windows, along with a nest on the overhang of the front porch and a fourth nest on the overhang of the back porch. It's ridiculous!!

I wonder why they are starting nests there. They sure are fast little buggers if you are cleaning them out daily. I have never had this problem before.

I've never even heard of wasps building nest near your car! I hope that doesn't happen to us. I also hope you're not allergic! How do you get rid of them if they build nests somewhere on your car?

That does seem an odd place for them to choose. I see them a lot flying around, but I haven't seen them trying to build a nest on the car, yet.

Since the nests are just getting started, they are not very big. I just knock them down with a stick. The last time I knocked one down, however, they just went to the other side of the car and started buidling the nest there. I should probably just spray them with wasp spray.
