I waited until I finished university and had my first full-time job before I was able to afford a car. Before that it was the bus. So I really anticipated getting it. At the time, I was crazy about sports cars so I got myself a Fiat Spyder. I loved my little car although it definitely was challenging to drive during the winter. What was your first car?

I had a 1980 Ford Pinto Pony. It was a five-speed. The exterior was white and I got it for $200, but of course getting it running well took a bit more than that!
Fiat
My first car was a tiny little white Fiat. I bought it used for $400. and paid $30. payments on it until it was paid in full. It had a straight shift, was old and I was so proud of owning my car, especially after I doubled up on my payments and paid it off pronto. My mom had to sign for me, but I paid for it myself.

Daihatsu Charade
I got my first car shortly after I got my license. I got a little 4 cylinder Daihatsu Charade. I don't think they make them anymore. Even though it was a little tin can on wheels, I was so proud of it. I ended up crashing it and then selling it. Anyone ever have a Daihatsu?

Guess my first car
If you guessed a GTO, you are dead wrong. I drove a hunk of junk -- an old green and white Rambler that had been around before the Mayflower. My first real car, however, was a green GTO. How I loved that car and moved heaven and earth to buy it. Though used, it served me well. Those were the days.

First car -- Chevrolet
My first car was the one my mother drove. It was an old run-down white station wagon I didn't want to be caught dead in. I finally got my own blue Chevrolet Malibu Classic. I loved that car so much I bought another one just like it when I bought a new one again. It was the same shade of blue.
