When in traffic jam?

What do you do when you are stuck in traffic jam? I always bring a book or two with me so that I can read them at that time. Doing simple neck exercises will also help to pass time.

In my bag I always have a notebook and a pen, a book or magazine so when I get stuck I just scribble down my ideas or read whatever piece of literature I got. Sometimes I listen to my language lesson saved in my phone.

I'm not caught in traffic jams often because I live in the country, so I'm caught totally without anything to do when I am. I usually just sit there and wait, bored as can be, if it's a two-lane highway. If I'm on an interstate, I look for the nearest exit as we move.

The last traffic jam I was in, I lucked out and had a newspaper with me. I think it lasted an hour and I read that paper almost front to back (at least the interesting parts). Now, I always have a magazine or something in the car to do.

I call someone on my cell phone and yak. You know, the distracted driving laws are moot when one is sitting there stuck in traffic that isn't going anywhere!
